One of our first-form students dressed up for "Career Night" at a local church This is especially funny when you know that our own priest does carry pens in his pocket all the time.
Especially funny for an AWANA career night, whose statement of faith includes: "We believe that the local church is autonomous and free of any external authority or control. (Acts 13:1-4, 20:28; Romans 16:1, 4; 1 Corinthians 3:9, 16, 5:4-7, 13; 1 Peter 5:1-4)"
There's at least one rebel in every group, I guess. And what a statement of rebellion. He symbolizes the denial of local autonomy, and the affirmation of authority structures. Pretty subversive....
...a teacher at an Anglican school in the mountains of California, teaching Latin, Greek, and History to students from 4th to 12th grade... and loving it

Alot of little kids were looking at him askance, and the parents looked a little freaked out. Tehe. It was priceless.
